About Kerin Bellak

Kerin Bellak-Adams (Karola) is one of two daughters of the late, renowned psychoanalyst Dr. Leopold Bellak. In 2005, she became CEO of CPS Publishing LLC, her father’s 75-year-old publishing house (www.cpspublishinginc.com), an international publisher of clinical assessments and books.

Among her professional accomplishments, Kerin led the release of the CAT-A in color (Children’s Apperception Test) in 2012, as well as the BAT (Bellak Apperception Test), co-authored with David Abrams.

Kerin is also an accomplished author. Her works include ADHD Success! Solutions to Boosting Self-Esteem: The Diary Method (2009), for ages 7–17, and Leo the Lion and the Kangaroos – On Autism (2025). She is currently working on several upcoming projects, including Hurting People Hurt People (a poem), Secrets and Psychoanalysis: The Life and Works of Dr. Leopold Bellak, and additional titles.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hofstra University in Long Island, New York, and is a graduate of the International Coaching Federation (ICF). In 2009, Kerin founded the first parent support group for ADHD at Valley Hospital in New Jersey. She has lectured at hospitals, for the International Dyslexia Association, and at the JCC on the Palisades in New Jersey.

She is also a proud mother. Her daughter is an accomplished nurse at a major hospital in Long Island and has a beautiful family with her husband and their three young children.
